The ACHA-National College Health Assessment (NCHA) is a national research effort organized by ACHA to assist college health service providers, health educators, counselors, and administrators in collecting data about their students' habits, behaviors, and perceptions on the most prevalent health topics: alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use; sexual health; weight, nutrition, and exercise; mental health; and injury prevention, personal safety, and violence. Sample graphical representations of summary result from the American College Health Association National College Health Assessment conducted in 2003 are provided here. The charts included reflect students' self-reported data from the Spring 2003 survey (n = 19,497). Contained here are percentage of male and female depression diagnoses and treatment; percentage of male and female sexual abuse/assault in the last school year; percentage of male and female abusive relationships in the last school year; and percentage of reported consequence after alcohol consumption. While other health surveys of college students cover a single topic area, such as alcohol and drug use, the ACHA-NCHA offers the broadest range of health issues, as well as the ability to map the results over an extended period of time.
